"I also have in mind that seemingly wealthy, but terribly impoverished class of all, who have accumulated dross, but know not how to use it, or get rid of it, and thus have forged their own golden or silver fetters.” —Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862)

Look What We Picked up on the Way Home From Work Yesterday!

An old restaurant (on the right) + a 1 bedroom cottage (on the left) on two commercially-zoned lots. The cottage needs a shipload of work. The restaurant needs a dinghy full of work. We plan to convert the restaurant into a home. In the meantime, we'll still be living in the motorhome, just moving it to the new location. I can't wait to tell how it all came about in a soon-to-come update.

IF ITS WORTH DOING , put yer all into it.

Howdy, N!

Crazy is true! But I can't wait to dig into the work. It's walking distance to work and most other things. Get out yer banjo, it may be time for some "Deliverance" or bluegrass "Crazy Train!" Heh heh. Can you belive it's PINK???

Does that mean you'll will not be moving down this way after all? Congrats in any case. I don't remember seeing that anywhere I've been down here.

Looks brilliant, and so convenient for work too. Guess your weekends are going to be chock a block from here on out - but what exciting work. Always wanted to renovate something too - can't wait to see more photo's and read all the info :-)

Congrats to you both!

Well I will be the first to say that I have no idea what's going on! I'm not shy about saying it either. Whatever you do I will be pulling (and praying) for you guys.

Comeca, I understand the partner thing. Thank heaven that David goes along with my crazy schemes. Only problem is when things crash and burn, I have no one but myself to blame. LOL

Joanne, Thank you!

Tffnguy, Watch for future explanation post coming soon, but our plans remain the same. The "hitch in my getalong" is needing to work for a few more years.

Daisy52, I like it! I guess I need to get a sign for the place.

Jicky, Thank you!

Dani, Full steam ahead. I know there will be lots of work. Photos coming soon.

SFC, Funny thing is I have no idea either! Can you please tell me?? Thanks for your support!!

Lisa, I will. Thanks!

Gaelyn, Thank you!

Ahem!!!! 4 weeks ago we were promised more photo's - I'm impatient...

Any assistance I can give I'm happy to :-)

Hey, Dani! I'm laughing!!! I'm plowing my way through the end of the semester and then, more photos. I promise! I really have no excuses, though, since I drive by the place almost every day on my way to and from work. Shame! Thanks for the offer to help. The first order is to figure out the flooring in the "living area" that used to be the dining hall of the restaurant. More to come. Thanks, friend on the other side of the world!
